2. Traditional Sauna
The traditional sauna has existed for many ages. Finnish saunas, wood-burning saunas, smoke saunas, and dry saunas are all classified under traditional saunas. This sauna therapy boosts physical as well as mental health.
The traditional sauna is known for its extreme temperature and dry heat. The traditional sauna has two different levels that should be completely dry. The temperature must be 180 degrees Fahrenheit or more when it is heated.
In a wood-burning sauna, the wood should be burnt in the stoves. Pour some amount of water on the heat and this helps to control humidity. A smoke sauna is similar to a wood-burning sauna but the only difference is that it does not have a chimney pipe.
Be careful that you don’t get exposed to too much heat as it can lead to excessive sweating and dehydration.
3. Electric Sauna
An electric sauna is the most efficient, safe, and easy to install and maintain. Using the electric heaters, you can heat the stones and rocks.
They heat up quickly and are remote based where you have control over the temperature, and you can adjust as per your requirements and comfort in the sauna.
Splash some water on the burning part to create steam and increase the heat. You can use different types of electric heaters depending on the different types of sauna sizes.
4. Steam Sauna
Steam sauna has a heat temperature of around 110 degrees Fahrenheit but has a humidity level higher than traditional saunas. The steam generators boil the water and turn it into steam which slowly emits in the whole room.
Steam sauna is easier to clean as it is mostly made up of glass. The steam offers a moist and soothing environment. Steam saunas are often seen in gyms and used in spa settings for their rejuvenating effects.
The main benefits of a steam sauna are clean skin, cured diseases, reduced stress, and more.
5. Ice Sauna
Ice saunas are opposite to traditional saunas. They are also known as cold saunas with a temperature range of around -110 degrees Fahrenheit to -240 degrees Fahrenheit.
Exposure to extreme cold heals the mind and energizes the body. Ice sauna improves overall health. It reduces muscle soreness.
